View of Dublin

Wednesday marks the first day of our last week! We start our day by going in different directions. Becca wanted to have some girl time with Scout so they got up and went to breakfast. Scout told me she had a pancake with chocolate drizzle on it. Becca had a breakfast BLT.

Ru slept in until 9am this morning, which was late for her. I went in to get her, which was a surprise to her, she hasn’t totally warmed up to me, but it’s getting better.

At that point I decided to take a stretch of the legs around Dublin. The hustle and bustle of the city is interesting. Pedestrians, Bikes, Cars, Buses, Motorcycles, Trains, move the people around the city! All of this go through the small Burroughs that make up this city. To name a few, Ballsbridge, Ranelagh, Rathmine, Donnybrook, etc. All types of shops show up in all of these Burroughs, markets , bakeries, hair dressers, pharmaceuticals, pubs, realators, restaurants, banks, etc. All of these Burroughs will offer these businesses.

Between these Burroughs you find housing, row houses, single family homes, apartments, etc. The architecture of these dwellings go back centuries, to modern. The neighborhood churches are beautiful! You find a variety of denominations!

City center brings you the major commerce area, and the Christmas season has started!

9 Days to go!

The trouble with trips abroad is that they have to end sometime! With only 9 days left for us, this trip for other loved ones has ended, Jesper and Bunny left today returning to Sweden. This is the way it is when we travel to Europe. We loved our time we had with both of them!

Our last 9 days will be with Scout & Ru! The good thing about this is Scout is old enough to assist us with our Ru. Also Scout for being 6 years old is very smart! We can actually have an intelligent discussion with her. This is a real pleasure for us!

Scout has also been to Dublin enough that she actually knows her way around. The other day we went to Airfield Museum, and from the rail station she guided us right to the ticket office! She also guided us inside the grounds. It was wonderful!

Today we met up with Becca, Jesper, & Ru. Once they took off to the airport, Scout guided us to Becca’s office, then to a playground, then to Becca’s 2nd office! Very impressive for a 6 year old!

Cooler temps, rain for the next two days!

A dip in temperatures, some light rain is going to be a issue the next few days! However we’ll manage.

Our daily schedule is walking to the parks near us, there is a few good ones close by! Ru falls asleep and Bunny gets to play! We found out today that Bunny wants other kids to play with so we didn’t stay long.

Food here is more than meat & potatoes, like most major cities there is a big variety to chose. Tonight we’re looking at Thai. We went to the market the other day and I got a Pastie, just like in the UP of Michigan!
